About me#

I am Amos (Jon Amos Fehling, as the Impressum has it). I grew up in the German countryside and write software for a living: C++ for computer vision at a company that builds measurement and inspection systems.

What I work on#

Usually I am annoyed at something and decide that I can build it better. Most of these ideas never lead anywhere. Some I stick with, and you can find them here.

How I work#

  • Software should not abuse the people who use it: no unencrypted data where encryption is reasonable, no vendor lock-in, no data harvesting.
  • My projects have AI functionality, and I use AI assistance to develop them. If you do not like this, please remember that nothing forces you to use them. Hopefully, at least. At least I do not force you. Someone else might, though, and if so, I am sorry about that. We should all have choice in what software we want to use.
